OUR FISH...

Founded in Clitheroe in 1939 Wellgate Fisheries has grown from a small family run fishmongers, serving the residents of the Ribble Valley, into a company based in a state-of-the-art purpose-built facility.

We use both local fishermen who are committed to developing the sustainability of fishing in the North of England, and the Manchester wholesale fish market, one of the largest inland markets in the country. We also source directly from small independent producers and fishermen around the country on a daily basis in a bid to deliver the best quality possible



OUR MEAT...

Penny's has 200 years of farming experience, this long-held practise of rearing livestock means we know our business and then some when it comes to quality meat. Important also is the way we deal with meat, and our philosophy is simple. We hand select cuts from our own Lancashire stock and, when sourcing from elsewhere (nothing but British), our question is always, 'Is this your best?' If the answer isn't 'Yes' then it's not for us.

That's our tradition: it's the way we've always done things and it's the way we always will.

Ribble Farm has been established since 1967, a family owned buisness managed and personally run by brothers Roger and Richard Coulston along with their fully commited management team. Ribble Farm has grown into one of Lancashires main competitors in the fruit and vegetable business.
